What do you do?:
Liz has been a pharmacist for 33 years, working mostly in
Lanarkshire but in Glasgow and Ayrshire too. She started in community pharmacy
and had various roles before becoming an independent prescriber in 2005. Since
then, Liz has worked in addiction services and community pharmacy.
In 2015 Liz started looking at opiate analgesic prescribing in General Practice and
developed strategies to address whilst supporting chronic pain management.
Liz started working with ProPharm Services in 2021 and has seen the benefit of a
broad team experience in General Practice – everybody bringing their own unique
skills and abilities to help the overall patient experience.
Special interests/key words:
As a mother of grown-up children, Liz understands the benefits of timely healthcare
and having the right person dealing with your healthcare enquiry. She strongly
believes that pharmacists are ideally placed to advise on medicines management
and long term conditions to support GP colleagues to deliver patient care.
